Our Process

Book your Appointment

Booking Your Appointment

  • Advance Scheduling: Book your appointment 8–10 weeks in advance, or plan for the entire season when purchasing chicks.
  • Minimum Notice: We require at least 2 weeks’ notice for all appointments and will do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • Processing Days: We process poultry Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays during high-demand weeks.

Preparing Your Poultry for Processing

To ensure the best conditions for processing, please follow these guidelines:

  • Fasting: Withhold feed 15 hours before your appointment; provide water only.
  • Clean Environment: Keep your chickens’ environment clean to maintain hygiene.
  • Catching Chickens: Capture chickens at night while roosting for easier handling.
  • Transport Requirements:
    • Poultry Crates: Loaner crates are available for pickup the day before your appointment due to high demand.
    • USE ABSORBENT BEDDING: Use containers with absorbent bedding (e.g., straw or shavings). Do not use sealed containers or cardboard boxes, as they can cause suffocation.
  • After Caging: Transport your birds promptly to our facility.

Drop Off

  • Appointment Time: Bring your flock to our farm at your scheduled appointment time. We start early to accommodate your needs.
  • Evening Drop-Off: If needed, contact us to arrange a drop-off the evening before your appointment.
  • Drop-Off Process:
    • Use the “Drop Off” roll-up door at the front of our facility.
    • Place your crates inside and close the door to protect your poultry from predators.
    • Labeling: Complete and attach the provided intake form to your crates to ensure proper identification.

Appointment Day

Order Processing

  • Same-Day Processing: All orders are processed on the day of your appointment.
  • Evening Pickup: If your work schedule requires an evening pickup, inform us in advance. We can process your order last, ensuring it’s ready for your drive home.
  • Strict Schedule: Orders are completed as scheduled. We do not call to confirm completion.
  • Mandatory Same-Day Pickup: You must pick up your order the same day it is processed to avoid spoilage. We do not offer overnight cold storage, and spoilage is at your expense.

Packaging: All Chicken will be vacuum sealed and labeled ready for the freezer.  

Transportation: Bring your own provisions to keep your poultry cold during transit to avoid spoilage.
